Karis McLain: PCHS Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight
Help us congratulate our next PCHS Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight, Karis McLain!
Karis is the daughter of Clint McLain and Cristen and Montana Hines.
Karis' favorite quote: "Success is counted sweetest by those who never succeed." by Emily Dickinson In this poem, success is a kind of a paradox: the more successful you are, the less you appreciate that success, and vice versa.
While in high school, Karis has participated in FCCLA for 2 years, DECA for 3 years, and Band for 2 years.
Karis' advice for incoming freshmen: "Around junior year you'll hit a point of clarity where you realize your entire life isn't going to be high school forever and you'll stop caring so much about all of the little things you used to care about. I suppose my point is just that high school isn't forever, eventually, things will get better."
We asked Karis what her favorite class, most memorable moment, and most impactful staff member for her while at PCHS. Karis replied, "I did not enjoy class time. I'll remember becoming friends with Alex due to being sat next to him. That could be the best thing that's happened to me. Ms. Sophie Errante was consistently my biggest supporter and best friend."
Funniest memory for Karis: "Freshman year homecoming dance a student was break dancing and everyone at the dance circled around him to cheer him on."
Karis' plans after graduation: "Just vibin' man."
We asked Karis where she plans to see herself in 5-10 years. She told us: "Having dinner with Oprah."
Congratulations, Karis!
