Jaden Wyant: Senior Spotlight

Senior Spotlight time!

Help us congratulate, Jaden Wyant, our next featured Senior!

Jaden is the son of Jason and Passion Wyant. He is active in DECA, Basketball, and Golf. Some of his favorite high school accomplishments include earning above a 3.0 GPA, helping his teammates win Districts and Sectionals in Basketball this year, and earning a trip to compete at State Golf 2 out of 3 of his high school years...so far. (Golf starts soon and the pandemic stole a year).

Jaden's favorite quote is by Juice Wrld, "The goal in life is not to live forever, but to create something that will." His advice to incoming freshmen would be, "Do your homework when you have time because it makes you less stressed outside of school and it goes by quickly. Get it all in while you can, because before you know it, you're applying for a college or for a full-time job after school."

When we asked about Jaden's funniest memory while at Putnam, he said, "Intro to Buiding Trades my freshman year was filled with so many, I can't narrow it down to one."

Jaden plans to attend NCMC on a golf scholarship after graduation. He sees himself working in the next 5-10 years. 

While at Putnam, Jaden tells us that Mr. Fleshman had the biggest impact on him. "He made sure I had a positive mindset, even when I was struggling in math class or on the basketball court." Jaden told us he didn't necessarily have a certain class that was his favorite because they all have a reason to be his favorite. 

Jaden's most memorable moment at Putnam so far was going to state for golf his freshman year. 

Get out and support Jaden and his teammates this Saturday, as they make Putnam County history at MACC at 1:45 pm. He and his teammates would appreciate the support as they work to take out the Gremlins.
