Character Education Week at PCR-I
On February 18-21, 2020, Putnam County R-I welcomes you to help pay it forward to others in our community during Character Education Week.
On Monday, we are not in session in observance of Presidents Day. This is a great day to gather your supplies for the week.
On Tuesday, it is FOOD FOR THOUGHT DAY. It is important to help others. If you would like to help support our Buddy Pack Program, please donate $1.00. Every dollar donated buys $21.00 worth of food. We are also grateful for our community. Please bring in your non-perishable food items and canned goods to help those in need in our own community. (Please no outdated or open items) All food items will remain in our county at the local food pantry.
Wednesday is CITIZENSHIP DAY. We show good CITIZENSHIP by taking care of our elderly friends and family. We will collect donations for BINGO prizes for our friends at the Putnam County Care Center. Prizes that residents enjoy are individually wrapped candy or snacks and small knick-knacks that are new.
On Thursday, it is RESPONSIBILITY DAY. We will help support our local meals-on-wheels program through the PC Cafe’ & Resource Center. Items to donate for the center are dish soap, paper towels, and napkins.
Friday is CARING DAY. We are going to support our local Children’s Division who works with many families in our community. Today we will be collecting cleaning supplies for families in need. Items that are needed would include, laundry detergent, all-purpose cleaning items, head-lice treatment kits, bed bug kits, trash bags, and brooms or mops. We will be collecting donations to celebrate Character Education Week. Please send items with your child if you are able to help support our community organizations.
Thank you in advance, to our generous community! We appreciate you!
