Today the Evans Music Department met with fifth grade students about the opportunities they have in band, orchestra, and choir next year at Evans. Unfortunately, changes had to be made due to the COVID-19 pandemic that resulted in 5th grade band, orchestra, and choir not being able to take place. Students will have the opportunity to participate in these courses in 6th grade during the 2021-2022 school year. In order for students to register for one of these ensembles, parents need to complete a Google Form (see link below). Parents need to complete and return this form by Wednesday, March 24.
Here are the steps to help you complete the Google Form:
- Log in to your email account that you have shared with your local school for contact purposes.
- Find the email titled “Band/Orchestra/Choir Interest Form”
- Complete the form and select which ensemble(s) you are interested in.
- Click “Submit” when completed.
Students interested in band or orchestra will have the opportunity to come to a band and orchestra open house to meet the director and select their instrument sometime in April. Directors will be in contact with parents on what date this will take place.
