Students Help Local Outreach

students do service project

Thirteen 4th and 5th graders at Wilson supported a local outreach that is helping meet the needs of community members.

The outreach program, Warming Hearts Outreach, is a small clothesline hanging outside the future site of the women and children shelter at the corner of Iowa Avenue and West Second Street, near Wilson School. Ziploc bags containing hats, mittens, socks, and scarves hang from the line.

On December 18, students stuffed bags with donated items, then traveled to the outreach site just a few blocks away and hung the bags on the line.
