Wilson Elementary will host their annual Veterans Day Assembly on Monday, November 11 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Four fifth grade students, Lawson Bennett, Coleton Wilson, Aldana Bekele, and Sydney Souravongwill serve as Master of Ceremonies. The OHS JROTC color guard will present the colors to begin the hour-long event. Students will watch a DVD presentation about veterans, then sing "Living in the Heart of America." Fourth graders will share their veteran-themed essays with their peers and JROTC will teach students how to properly fold a flag. Taps will be performed.
Veterans in attendance will be invited to the front of the gym to be honored by students and staff. Students will sing "A Grateful Nation" to end the event.
