Marshallese Freedom Fest

Wilson Elementary School is hosting a Marshallese Freedom Fest on Sunday, May 19 starting at 1:30 p.m. 

On May 1, 1979, the people of Marshall Islands gained full independence under a new republican constitution. This celebration is an opportunity for the people of the Marshall Islands to tell the story of their culture and heritage. The event is free to the public and will host community service booths to assist the public with program awareness and assistance. Organizations currently registered to attend include:  WIC, LULAC, Heartland Humane Society, etc.

The event is sponsored by Wilson Elementary School and First Pentecostal Church. In the event of rain the event will be held in the OHS cafeteria.
