Students Invited to Invent Iowa

Two students have been invited to participate in the annual State Invent Iowa competition in Iowa City, Iowa on April 15, hosted by the University of Iowa's Belin Blank Center. Students selected for the state competition include Charles Smith, kindergarten, from Eisenhower Elementary with his "Benge Beacon" invention and Jocelyn Davis, 4th grade, from Wilson Elementary with her "J's Kitchen Helper" invention.

Students were selected through an online and mailed application process after competing locally. Winners at the state level will have the opportunity to represent the state at the 2019 National Invention Convention in Dearborn, Michigan at the Henry Ford Museum in May.
