Ottumwa Community Schools will host a kindergarten registration for the 2019-20 school year on Thursday, March 28 beginning at 6 p.m. This date was rescheduled due to the weather in early March.
The district’s Kindergarten Registration will be held at Douma, Eisenhower, James, Horace Mann, and Wilson Schools from 6 -7 p.m. Parents are asked to contact their neighborhood school to receive a registration packet prior to attending if they haven’t received one. The packet contains several forms to complete and return during registration. Forms include a student enrollment data form, certificate of immunization, and proof of birth. Iowa law requires that all students must be five-years-old on or before September 15 in the year they enroll.
Prior to the first day of school, students will also need to return the pre-enrollment physical examination form, certificate of dental screening, and a student vision card. These forms are in the enrollment packet.
