John Deere Ottumwa Works is sponsoring a Lego League with third graders at Wilson. This week, John Deere volunteers kicked off the first in a series of 10 weeks of learning about and creating water pumps. They meet with students every Friday from 8:15-9:15 a.m. Students will learn the engineering process through hands-on activities using Legos."This is a grant opportunity targeting elementary school students with the ambition of creating interest in the career field of engineering," said Jeff Hendred, Wilson Principal.
