Second graders in Mrs. Lott’s class at Wilson Elementary School shared seasonal poems with classrooms throughout the building today. An annual tradition, students color large posters, then parade through the school reading the poems to upper elementary students.
Poems were Halloween-themed, featuring bats, pumpkins, and monsters. Many older students recognize the poem they read as second graders.
The activity provides an opportunity to practice reading aloud and working together in pairs.
