The Ottumwa Community School District will host their Holiday Band Concert for students in grades 5-12 on Monday, December 16 at 7 p.m. in the OHS auditorium. This was originally scheduled for last Sunday but was postponed due to weather.
Selections performed by the elementary bands will include “Au Claire De La Lune,” “Jingle Bells,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” The fifth grade concert band is directed by Jena Hawk and the sixth grade concert band is directed by Alex Mason.
The seventh and eighth grade concert band will perform “Christmas Fantasy,” “Jingle Jive,” and “Holiday Bobsled Run.” The band is directed by Pam De Boer.
The 9-12 Wind Ensemble will perform “Fanfare & Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Carol of the Bells,” and “A Fresh Aire Christmas.” The ensemble is directed by Troy Gerleman and Alex Mason.
