The Ottumwa Community School District will host their Holiday Band Concert for instrumental students in grades 5-12 on Sunday, December 11 at 2 p.m. in the Ottumwa High School auditorium.
The fifth grade band is under the direction of Kylee Martin. Selections will include: “Cardiff by the Sea,” “Hot Cross Buns,” and “Au Claire De La Lune.” Songs styles include traditional or folk.
Alex Mason will direct the sixth grade band. Selections will include: “Up on the Housetop,” "Carols of Joy,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
The 7/8 concert band will perform “Angelic Hosts Proclaim,” “Shadows Unleashed,” and “African Bell Carol.” The band is directed by Pam De Boer.
A percussion ensemble, including students from Evans and OHS, will perform “All Jingled Up.”
The high school band selections include “Ancient Carol Variants,” “All is Calm,” "Adventum,” and “Stars and Stripes for Christmas.” The high school band is under the direction of Troy Gerleman and Alex Mason.
