District to Honor 21 Retirees

Ottumwa Schools will host a Retiree Open House to honor 21 employees who will retire at the end of this school year on Thursday, May 5 from 3:45 – 4:45 p.m. in the Ottumwa High School cafeteria. Staff members, their most recent assignment, and years of service include:  Tim Belzer, copy center, 25 years; Candace Canady, food service, 16 years; Bonnie Cobler, PE teacher, 28 years; Kathy Courtney, PLATO teacher, 33 years; Debra Cramblit, OHS visual arts teacher, 21 years; Lorraine Giltner, Wilson fifth grade teacher, 27 years; Elizabeth Green, food service, 21 years; Debb Kent, OHS family and consumer science teacher, 17 years; Lisa Magrane, OHS language arts teacher, 22 years; and Mary Sue Monroe, Home School Assistance Program, 17 years.

Also Harry Nicholson, custodian, 23 years; Mary O’Brien-Orman, OHS health and PE teacher, 41 years; Denise Ott, Evans special education teacher, 31 years; Brett Phippen, OHS applied technology teacher, 30 years; Larry Radosevich, Wilson crossing guard, 34 years; Rhonda Ragen, OHS special education teacher, 16 years; Becky Staton, custodian, 17 years; Sue Terrell, custodian, 18 years; Shannon Vesely, School Improvement Leader 7-12, 5 years; and Ann Youngman, elementary gifted and talented teacher, 38 years.
