The last day of school for students in the Ottumwa Community School District is June 3 but the dismissal time has been moved to 1:30 p.m. instead of the 1 p.m. dismissal that was on the original school calendar.
The reason for the change is due to time missed for inclement weather this year. The district needs an extra 30 minutes to meet the 1,080 student attendance hours requirement by the State of Iowa.
