Child Care Offered with Preschool

Child Care Offered with Preschool

Ottumwa Community Schools will begin offering preschool child care to students enrolled in their four-year-old preschool program. This will be a fee-based service for parents who have difficulty leaving work to drop-off and pick-up their child from preschool. Services will be offered on student attendance days only.

Ottumwa’s preschool program is free and open to all Ottumwa four-year-olds. The child care program will serve children before and after preschool and will include lunch. Program hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost for services will be $17 for a full day.  Students utilizing child care services must attend the a.m. preschool program.

The program will be administered by the district’s preschool administrator in coordination with the district’s youth care program.

A minimum of 10 children are required to operate the child care program. For additional information on Ottumwa’s preschool program or to register for child care, contact Dr. Deb Cook, preschool administrator, at 684-5617.
