District to Launch eFlyers

Ottumwa Schools has launched a new electronic flyer communication tool called “Peachjar.” To view school-approved eflyers, simply click the Peachjar button on the district’s website or app. Flyers can then be viewed on a computer, tablet, or phone. Parents will be notified each time a new flyer is posted via email.

Posting school flyers in this electronic backpack ensures parents have access to all flyers. Parents will no longer have to rely on the student bringing the flyer home. All flyers are now a click away. There are also options for live links that allow parents to register through the eflyer. A hard copy of each flyer will also be available in the school office for viewing.

No action is required from parents. You will receive a welcome email from Peachjar that includes a username and password. This is provided to give parents the opportunity to manage their account and flyer delivery preferences. In other words, parents can select what school flyers they want to see. If a user simply wants access to all flyers, there is no need to login.

To ensure the delivery of flyers, parents should add “[email protected]” to their email contacts. When the first eflyer is received, be sure to click “always display images.” Peachjar is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Parent email addresses will not be shared or used for any other purpose. “The district is excited to offer parents a way to view flyers while reducing paper in student backpacks,” said Kim Hellige, Community Programs Director. “Eflyers through Peachjar are another way to ensure parents are well informed about programs, activities, and events.”
