Wilson 5th grade students, again, were invited to the Iowa Children's Water Festival on May 12 at DMACC in Ankeny. This event is by invitation only and is only offered to 5th grade students of Iowa. It is a free, educational event that lets 5th grade students learn about the importance of water in their lives.
This year marks the Water Festival's 20th anniversary. The students get to experience hands-on demonstrations about Iowa's water systems. Volunteers from all over Iowa make this event possible. Thanks to Ottumwa Water Works for providing the transportation.
