CAMP UPDATE FROM COACH THOMAS AND COACH VANDENBERG:
The Ottumwa girls basketball and volleyball programs are excited to announce that they will be hosting a COMBINED youth camp this summer for girls entering grades 4-9 in the fall. The camp will host two age divisions, elementary (grade 4/5/6 in the fall) and middle school (grade 7/8/9) in the fall. Camp will be held June 1-3 from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Due to upcoming gym renovations at Evans, the Girls’ Youth Volleyball and Basketball Camp locations have CHANGED. Please see the information below regarding camp location.
- Girls’ Basketball camp will now be held at LIBERTY ELEMENTARY.
- Volleyball Camp will be held at EVANS MIDDLE SCHOOL in the RUBBER GYM.
The district will provide a shuttle bus for ALL athletes attending BOTH camps to their next location. Water and fruit will be available.
Daily Schedule:
- 8:00-10:00 7/8/9 girls’ basketball @ Liberty and 4/5/6 volleyball at Evans-rubber gym
- 10:00-10:30 Shuttle bus takes girls to next camp location.
- 10:30-12:30 4/5/6 girls’ basketball @ Liberty and 7/8/9 volleyball @ Evans-rubber gym
Students who did not pre-register can register on the first day of camp. Players can attend just basketball or volleyball for $25. Players interested in attending both camps pay $40. All players will receive a shirt. High school coaches and players will be on hand to help players increase their volleyball / basketball skills and awareness for how the game is played.
