The Ottumwa Hy-Noon Kiwanis donted 300 books to James on Thursday.
The initiative was aimed at providing more diversity to more accurately reflect the school's population. Fifty books were donated to each grade level will be added to the classroom libraries. Titles included "For You Are a Kenyan Child," "No Dogs Allowed," "Grace For President," and "Biblioburro."
A student representative from each class was on hand to accept the donation on behalf of their school.
