Members of the Ottumwa Bulldogs Archery Team competed at the 2017 NASP Iowa State Tournament and 3D-2017 Iowa 3D State Tournament in Des Moines on March 3 and 4.
Jeff Shauman of Evans Middle School, placed 2nd in the state in Middle School Boys bullseye competition and qualified to attend NASP Nationals May 11 – 13 in Louisville, KY.
The Evans Middle School team placed 1st in the 3-D competition. Other winners included Erinne Mendibles of James Elementary, 3rd place Elementary Girls; Sophia Fuller, 4th place Middle School Girls; and Zach Ross, 4th place Middle School Boys.
Several archers from the 37 member team plan to attend the Midwest NASP Shootout and Midwest NASP/IBO 3-D Shootout on April 22 in Dodgeville, WI. Archers will begin training March 14.
