Students are practicing their Readers Theater for the upcoming Literature Night. Literature Night is scheduled on March 31st from 6-7pm. Literature Night is an opportunity for parents to see what literature time looks like in the classroom. Students can show their parents/guardians the books they are reading, their reading journal, reading centers and much more. The teachers also share with parents what reading strategies the students are focusing on and provide them with resources so parents can help their students out at home. How can you help? Research shows that reading 20 minutes a day greatly helps readers increase their reading speed, comprehension and vocabulary!
