Three members of the technology club, led by Erin Adams, were selected to participate in creating a video for James Elementary on hallway expectations. The video will be shown periodically to remind students what the hallway expectations are. The three students, Aiden Anderson, Ella Green and Rhianna Mims, are all second graders. They have completed many technology projects for the club but this by far is their favorite! Students in the technology club will be given more opportunities to create videos on school expectations. Videos displaying proper expectations are a very useful strategy. It will be easier for students to understand and remember the expectations when they are the same in the entire school and are viewed periodically. Teachers will use the videos as well as positive reinforcement as a strategy to help students remember what the school expectations are. When asked about his favorite part of the process, Aiden said that "seeing how you can change the background because of the green screen reminded me of how people make movies." The completed video will be available soon.
