Student Reaches State Level of Invent Iowa!

Talise Plate was one of seven students from the Ottumwa Community School District to participate in the annual State Invent Iowa competition in Coralville on Monday, April 16, 2018.  The event was hosted by the University of Iowa's Belin-Blank Center.  The seven students were among 200 from across the state in grades 3-8 who were selected to participate.  All studens received a medal and participation certificate.  First place inventions in the 3-5 and 6-8 grade division will represent the state of Iowa in the 2018 National Invention Convention in Dearborn, Michigan from May 31-June 3.  Congratulations to Talise for reaching the state level!
