Eisenhower is celebrating International Day of Peace on Friday, September 20. Students wore red and white and stood in the shape of a peace sign on the school yard for a photo opportunity. They also created a "Peace" sign on the fence facing the highway, and decorated it with pinwheels. Several students wrote messages on their pinwheels, including "Be kind," Make friends," and "Be friends with everyone."
The International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21. The day is devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
