On October 7th, the Ottumwa football game vs. Linmar will be host to Ottumwa's first "Gold Game." Gold is for childhood cancer; high schools across the country have "gold games" to bring awareness to childhood cancer.
Hank Thompson is a 2-year-old Ottumwa Boy with ganglioneuroblastoma. Hank and his family will join us for the game and be the Honorary Captain and be recognized during the game.
Fans are encouraged to wear gold to support the cause. An online shirt store has been created to commemorate the game. Proceeds for shirt sales will benefit the Thompson Family.
