Three OCSD staff members were nominated Bulldogs of the Week for the week of May 2. Congratulations to Nick Stout, Kaylee Craff, and Morgan Lockhart.

Nick Stout - Nick teaches history courses in grades 9-12 at OHS, including general education, college courses, and AP. He loves watching the growth in his students, watching them take high school courses, then collegiate level courses, and improving their reading, writing, and knowledge of historical concepts, then applying that to their own world views. Working with students also helps grow his content knowledge when they ask "what if" questions. He loves working for Ottumwa Schools and the opportunity to teach so many classes.

Kaley Craff - Kaley has taught eighth grade science at Evans for the past seven years. Building relationships with students and watching them grow and change throughout the year are her favorite parts of teaching. "It's exciting to help eighth graders prepare for high school," she said. As a lifelong Bulldog, she had a great experience in Ottumwa Schools and hopes to give that same experience to her students.

Morgan Lockhart - A special education associate at Wilson Elementary for the past seven years, Morgan loves working and assisting all students. She is also a parent. Her three children attended Wilson, and she currenlly serves as PTA president and recently coached the school's track team. She loves the one-on-one connections she builds with the students. "I love it," she said.
