For the next few weeks, our Bulldogs of the Week will focus on several of our 2022 retirees. This week, we highlight David Becker, Liz Breon, and Jeff Clark. Congratulations on your retirement!

David Becker - Formerly in the restaurant industry, David made a career change and has been a business teacher at OHS for the past 20 years and yearbook sponsor for 18 years. While teaching is a lot harder than he thought it would be, it is also a very rewarding career. He loves teaching at OHS and feels the high school offers a lot of resources and extracurricular opportunities for our students. "The opportunities are there if students want to take advantage of them," he said.

Liz Breon - An avid reader, Liz is a library associate at James Elementary. She loves the opportunity of working one-on-one with students as she shares her love of reading. She hopes that she has impacted students through reading and that a book has changed their life as the books she reads has changed hers.

Jeff Clark - A custodian for the past 26 years, he currently works at Pickwick Early Childhood Center. He feels the staff are great to help him in his job and that everyone works together for the benefit of the students. He hopes to make a positive impact everyday by smiling or telling a joke. He has enjoyed his years with Ottumwa Schools and looks forward to retirement.
