Three employees were nominated as Bulldogs of the Week for the week of March 7. Congratulations to April Neis, Lacy Cornick, and Kelly Scott.
April Neis - April is a 4/5 special education teacher at Liberty Elementary. She loves working with all students, especially those who lack confidence. She loves watching them grow more confident throughout the year. Her favorite part of teaching is building relationships with her students. "I love my job and love making a difference in the lives of students," she said.
Lacey Cornick - A teacher at the Evans Transitions program for the past two years, Lacey loves the relationships she builds in the smaller learning community. "I love the idea of knowing I'm making a difference in their lives," she said. "I give them the tools they need to be successful." Lacey is excited about the changes and progress in the district and looks forward to being part of OCSD for years to come.
Kelly Scott - A high school social studies teacher for 21 years, Kelly loves working at OHS. He has never met a more dedicated staff and feels that everyone at OHS does everything they can to be the best for students. He loves the students, noting "they make it worthwhile." He is confident that the Be The Best initiative will have lasting impacts on OHS and the district.
