Three staff members were nominated as Bulldogs of the Week. Please congratulate Kate Proctor, Brett Kanselaar, and June Schneckloth.
Kate Proctor - Kate teaches 10, 11, and 12 English at Ottumwa High School. Having previously taught in a small school, she loves the camaraderie of a large school and feels she belongs to a community of really good teachers. Her students recently read "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and she hopes her students become the best people possible.
Brett Kanselaar- Brett has been teaching seventh grade math at Evans Middle School for eight years and pre-Algebra for the past three. His ultimate goal is to help his students understand the real world and that they achieve all the things they want. Learning to work hard in class and persevere will help them achieve that goal.
June Schneckloth - June comes from a family of educators, including her father and sister. As a third grade teacher at Horace Mann, she enjoys watching her students grow and learn throughout the year. Her hope for her students is that they learn to become good people. She loves her job and wouldn't want to do anything else. "I hope we can be the best in Ottumwa."
