Three Ottumwa staff members were nominated as Bulldogs of the Week. Staff members include: Devin Baker, Deanna Bower, and Dana Warnecke.
Devin Baker is an At-Risk Coordinator at Ottumwa High School. Her duties include the Freshman Academy and attendance. She believes being a bulldog means having courage and compassion. Baker has a strong sense of pride in our district and is proud to be a part of it.
Deanna Bower teaches fourth grade at James Elementary. An OHS alumni, both her parents and children are also OHS graduates. She has a lot of pride in our community and takes pride in the work she does, striving to be the best everyday in her classroom.
Dana Warnecke is an associate principal at Evans Middle School. Dana is also a proud alumni and is feels the Positive Office Referrals program she is a part of at Evans is having a positive impact on her students. Similar to this award, she feels there is benefits to recognizing students as she strives to help students be their best.
