This week, five Ottumwa staff members were presented Employee of the Month awards for October. These staff members were nominated by a student, parent, or fellow staff member for continually going above and beyond for our students, staff, and families. Each received an Ottumwa gift bag from Superintendent Mike McGrory featuring a variety of OCSD promotional items.
The Employees of the Month for October include: Jeanne Benge, Liberty Title I teacher; Deb Buckingham, Pickwick preschool teacher, Brian Cutsworth, sixth grade teacher at Evans; Kristi Hale, OHS food service, and Mary Kister, administrative assistant.
These staff members will be recognized by the Ottumwa Board of Education at our next meeting on Monday, October 11. The recognition will be done at the beginning of the meeting. Family members, co-workers, and community members are encouraged to attend to show their support and appreciation of these employees. “I’m pleased to continue this tradition of recognizing our outstanding staff members each month,” said McGrory. “To Be The Best means having outstanding staff members who strive to make a difference in the lives of our students and families.”
