Ottumwa Schools and the Ottumwa Board of Education want to create a culture of recognition as we strive to become the best district in the state.
For the second year, starting in September, five employees will be recognized each month during the regular Board of Education meeting for continually going above and beyond for students, staff, and parents.
Students, parents, and staff can nominate employees by the 15th of each month (except in December, then on the first day of the month) for consideration. An electronic form, Employee Nomination Form, is located on the district’s website under Quick Links. A committee will review the nominations each month. Nominations not selected will be kept and considered again in the future.
Staff members who are recognized will receive a certificate and an Ottumwa Schools gift pack from Superintendent Mike McGrory; be highlighted in the Bulldog Bulletin; and be recognized at the regular Board of Education meeting on the fourth Monday of each month. This will include the reading of each nomination and public recognition of their efforts to help make Ottumwa Schools the best district in the state.
