On Monday, the Board of Education approved a recommendation to increase substitute pay for food service workers, associates, and custodians. The increases will impact all three substitute groups to $12 per hour. "We struggle to maintain a good pool of substitutes," said Dave Harper, Executive Director of Human Resources and Operations. "Our hour rates were lagging behind and we need to stay competitive. Salary increases ranged from $1 to $3 per hour.
