Ellen Stoltz-McGinity

I am an OHS alum; I played violin for years with Sister St. John at the Ottumwa Heights College. I have a Bachelor of Music from U of I, and did a double major in Music Education and Music Therapy. I did my internship in Music Therapy in the Twin Cities area at Golden Valley Psychiatric Unit (adolescent, and young adult), and then did substitute teaching when I moved back to Iowa City. I also did grad work and worked for the State Historical Society for a few years. Upon returning to Ottumwa, I had a private violin and piano studio for many years, then started subbing in Ottumwa Schools until hired for the music position I now fill. I have taught at Wilson, Eisenhower, James, and Horace Mann for 17 years.
