Summer Feeding Public Notice

The USDA has issued nationwide waivers, which allow school districts and community organizations to utilize flexibilities around site locations, non-congregate feeding, parent and guardian pick-up, and meal times in the 2021 operation of the Summer Food Service Program.

Ottumwa Community School District is participating in the USDA Summer Food Service Program during this time, which will allow for a safe and streamlined service of nutritious meals.  Meals will be provided without charge.  Seven breakfast and seven lunch meals will be provided FREE every Thursday beginning Thursday, June 3 through August 12, 2021 at the sites and times as follows:  

  • Foster Park  East Main Street 11:00-11:10
  • Emerald Hills Apartments 1600 Stellar Ave. 11:20-11:30
  • Wapello Woods Apartments 720 N Fellows 11:30-11:40
  • Westgate Towers 910 W 2nd 12:15-12:25,
  • Ottumwa High School 4th Street 11:00-12:00
  • Taft Circle Apartment 935 West Main 12:35-12:45,
  • Horace Mann Elementary 1523 N Court 11:50 -12:00
  • Evans Middle School 812 Chester 11:00-11:15, 
  • Douma Elementary 307 W Mary 11:00-11:15
  • Christian School 438 McKinley 11:20-11:30,
  • Wilson Elementary School 1102 E Fourth 11:30-11:40
  • Agency Lions City Park 11:00-11:10. 

Signs will be posted in all locations.
