Bennett Marie Rogers - Bennett found her high school experience to be challenging, rewarding, and memorable. Throughout high school, Bennet has been involved in drama (where she has served as secretary and vice president), the International Thespian Society, group speech, Meistersingers, orchestra, and show choir. Bennett was chosen to be the Academic All-State student for the class of 2021. She plans on attending the University of Northern Iowa, her major is still undecided.
Most influential teachers - “Mr. Kyle Roemerman, Mr. Kelly Scott, and Mrs. Victoria Rusch are all very important to me. They helped cultivate my sense of identity and allowed me to express myself in safe, engaging environments. “
Advice to underclassmen - “ It is important to work hard and stay on top of your assignments, but balance is very important,” she said. “Sometimes taking a break is more productive than working for five hours straight, because it allows you to center yourself and refocus instead of getting super burnt out. It is also important to know when to stop. Of course, you want to do your best in all that you do, but sometimes just doing enough is better than doing too much. Doing too much wears you out, so it is good to know when to let it go and move on.”
