This week, four Ottumwa staff members were presented Employee of the Month awards. These staff members were nominated by a student, parent, or fellow staff member for continually going above and beyond for our students, staff, and families. Each received an Ottumwa gift bag from Superintendent Mike McGrory featuring a variety of OCSD promotional items.
The Employees of the Month for April include: Brooke Fischels, math teacher at OHS; Blakelee Tucker, associate at Wilson; Jessica Williams, secretary at James; and Chief Warrant Officer 5 John Wynn, JROTC instructor at OHS.
These staff members will be recognized by the Ottumwa Board of Education at our next meeting on Monday, April 26. The recognition will be done at the beginning of the meeting. Family members, co-workers, and community members are encouraged to attend to show their support and appreciation of these employees. “It's an honor to recognize staff members each month who go above and beyond,” said McGrory. “We are fortunate to have staff who care so deeply about our students and the staff members they work along side.”
