Heath Proctor
Evans sixth grader, Heath Proctor, has qualified for the state in the National History Day competition.
The regional competition was held virtually. He will compete in the state competion on April 12. His exhibit about the Navajo Code Talkers, a collaboration during wartime efforts, placed first in his category.
The 2020-2021 theme is "Communication in History, The Key to Understanding." Students are judged on historical quality, clarity of presentation, and adherence to theme.
