This week, five Ottumwa staff members were presented Employee of the Month awards. These staff members were nominated by a student, parent, or fellow staff member for continually going above and beyond for our students, staff, and families. Each received an Ottumwa gift bag from Superintendent Mike McGrory featuring a variety of OCSD promotional items.
The Employees of the Month for March include: Troy Gerleman, OHS band teacher; Kent Roemerman, custodian at OHS; Jim Schlarbaum, kindergarten teacher at Horace Mann; Sara Sparks, special education teacher at Evans; and Jolie Williams, district data specialist.
These staff members will be recognized by the Ottumwa Board of Education at our next meeting on Monday, March 29. The recognition will be done at the beginning of the meeting. Family members, co-workers, and community members are encouraged to attend to show their support and appreciation of these employees. “It's an honor to recognize staff members each month who go above and beyond,” said McGrory. “We applaud these staff members for supporting our vision and mission each and every day.”
