This week, four Ottumwa staff members were presented Employee of the Month awards. These staff members were nominated by a student, parent, or fellow staff member for continually going above and beyond for our students, staff, and families. Each received OCSD promotional items from Superintendent Mike McGrory.
The Employees of the Month for January include: Trenton Archer, bus driver at Evans; Victoria Rusch, physical education teacher at OHS; Kolby Streeby, youth counselor at OHS; and Kelly Young, preschool teacher at Pickwick Early Childhood Center.
These staff members will be recognized by the Ottumwa Board of Education at our next meeting on Monday, February 8. The recognition will be done at the beginning of the meeting. Family members, co-workers, and community members are encouraged to attend to show their support and appreciation of these employees. “It's an honor to recognize employees who go above and beyond for our district,” said McGrory. “We appreciate all they do for our students, parents, and school community."
