The health and safety of our students, coaches, and fans is our highest priority. After receiving guidance from the Governor’s Office, Iowa Department of Public Health, the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union, the Iowa High School Athletic Association, the Iowa High School Music Association and the Central Iowa Metropolitan League (CIML), the following regulations are in place for district winter activities.
At each of these activities, masks are required of all spectators.
Boys’ Swimming:
- No visiting fans allowed
- Each Ottumwa swimmer and coach will be allowed two spectators (including members of the immediate household) for home meets
- CIML Metro Conference Meet--no home or visiting fans allowed
Girls’ and Boys’ Bowling:
- No visiting fans allowed
- Each Ottumwa bowler and coach will be allowed two spectators (including members of the immediate household) for home meets
Wrestling:
- No visiting cheerleaders
- Home and visiting teams will be limited to two spectators (including members of the immediate household) per athlete and coach
- Up to 70 students (seniors have priority) may attend (masked and maintain social distance)
Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball:
- No visiting cheerleaders
- CIML Games--No Pep Band
- Home and visiting teams limited to two spectators (including members of the immediate household) per athlete and coach
- Up to 70 students (seniors have priority) may attend (masked and maintain social distance)
Fine Arts:
- No more than two spectators (including members of the immediate household) per performer at any one event
- Performances may be split into smaller groups and/or multiple dates
