Yesterday, five Ottumwa staff members were presented Employee of the Month awards. These staff members were nominated by a student, parent, or fellow staff member for continually going above and beyond for our students, staff, and families. Each received OCSD promotional items from Superintendent Mike McGrory.
The Employees of the Month for December include: Taylor Bailey, Evans associate, who was recognized for her efforts while serving Horace Mann; Steve Livingston, special education teacher at OHS; Bobbie McCarty, OHS secretary; Dawnita Wellings, Evans associate; and Steve Zimmerman, assistant principal at Liberty.
These staff members will be recognized by the Ottumwa Board of Education at our next meeting on Monday, December 14. The recognition will be done at the beginning of the meeting. Family members, co-workers, and community members are encouraged to attend to show their support and appreciation of these employees. “Each month it is an honor to recognize employees who go above and beyond for our district,” said McGrory. “These staff members exemplify the Bulldog way every day."
