Ottumwa Schools continues to make decisions based on our concern for the health and safety of the students, staff, and families we serve. As we continue our efforts to operate safely during this pandemic, we have decided to host Parent Teacher Conferences remotely for fall. This decision was made in collaboration with Wapello County Public Health and the Wapello County Emergency Management Agency.
All schools will create conferencing opportunities for families either through Google Meet or by phone. Interpreters will be available as needed. Conference times and dates are below. We look forward to meeting all parents to provide updates on student progress. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
OHS and Evans Conferences:
- Thursday, October 8 from 4-7:30 pm
- Monday, October 12 from 4-7 pm
- Friday, November 20 from 8 am-1 pm
Conference Types: A 10-minute GoogleMeet or phone conference will be scheduled.
Parents will be asked their preferred day, time, and method (virtual or phone) between October 2-7.
Elementary Conferences
- Monday, November 16 from 4-7:30 p.m.: Eisenhower, Horace Mann, James, Wilson
- Tuesday, November 17 from 4-7:30 p.m.: Douma, Liberty, Pickwick
- Thursday, November 19 from 4-7 p.m.: Pickwick and all elementary schools
- Friday, November 20 from 8 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: All schools
Conference Types: A 20-minute GoogleMeet or phone conference will be scheduled for each student over the three day period.
Parent Scheduling: Parents will be asked their preferred day, time, and method (virtual or phone) beginning the week of October 19. Confirmation of conference dates will be communicated with parents the week of November 2. Interpreters will be available as needed.
