Board Approves Adjustment to Spectator Rules

Legion Field at night

The Ottumwa Board of Education adjusted the spectator rules established at the beginning of the season by the Central Iowa Metro League (CIML). This impacts both Legion and Huston Fields.

Beginning with today's games, the two passes given to each player will include other family members, such as siblings. These family members will sit together in a group during games. The other change involves purchasing passes to the second game of a doubleheader. Starting today, spectators wishing to attend a game can purchase a ticket at the end of the first inning of the first game, and not have to wait until the end of the first game.

These rules only apply to Ottumwa fields, according to Scott Maas, Ottumwa Athletic Director. Persons attending out-of-town games will follow the original rules established by the CIML.
