The district is seeking interested school and community members to participate in the process of selecting Ottumwa's next superintendent.
The process will include participation from four to five focus groups, including teachers, other staff, school administrators, and community members (parents and students). Those interested in being part of a stakeholder group are asked to complete a form (see link below). Groups will meet with the finalists in small, in-person group sessions of 10-15 people. Questions will be submitted on the form and will be asked by a moderator during the group sessions. Feedback from each group will be shared with the Board of Education as they make their decison on Ottumwa's next superintendent.
COVID-19 notice - Group sizes will be limited to allow for sufficient social distancing. Participants are welcome to wear masks but masks are not required to participate.
The interview sessions will be held on June 25 during the afternoon and early evening. A final list of times and the location will be provided to those chosen at random to participate. Deadline for consideration is June 18 at 4:30 p.m.
Thank you for your interest and willingness to devote your time and provide feedback on this important decision for the Ottumwa Schools.
