Join us for Literacy Night on Thursday, March 6th from 5pm – 7pm in the media center! Shop the book fair, listen to some great stories, enjoy some delicious cookies, and hear from Mrs. Debbie Burton, author of the children’s book series “Tales From Blueberry Street.”

It is with great joy that I introduce myself as the principal of Southwood Elementary School. My name is Allison Garske and I have loved serving the Southwood community for the past year.
I have worked with students in OCPS for almost 20 years, and pride myself in building relationships with students and their families. I understand the unique needs of individual students and have a background in both exceptional student education and behavior that supports my work as the principal here at Southwood.
Student learning is a priority for me, and I know every student will have a promising and successful future if we all work together!
I look forward to continuing to collaborate with the families and students of Southwood in the 2024-2025 school year!
