In December 2016, the Theatre Program at Hoover High School was awarded a $150,000 grant from the Hoover Foundation to begin updating the technology available to the students in our Theatrical Entertainment and Design program. This money has been used to purchase 100 new, state of the art, LED stage lighting fixtures. In addition to the lighting fixtures, we were also able to purchase a low lying fog machine, haze machine, 10 new theatrical microphones, wireless stage lighting controllers, and new monitors for the students in the pit orchestra.All of this equipment has been installed and was used for Shrek the Musical in February 2017.
