Dr. Roden earned his Ed.D and M.A. from the University of Akron and his B.A. from Walsh University. A retired educator, Dr. Roden worked as a teacher and principal in Canton City Schools as well as North Canton City Schools, where he also served as the Superintendent of schools.  Dr. Roden was an Associate Superintendent at the Stark County Educational Service Center and Canton City Schools and Interim Superintendent in various Stark County districts. In addition, he was the Principal at Hartville Elementary School and  Dean of Students at the Portage Collaborative Montessori School.

Dr. Roden volunteers with 3rd/6th-grade leadership development at Portage Collaborative Montessori School, and he serves on the CHARACTER COUNTS! Committee in North Canton. He volunteers as a pianist for the residents at House of Loreto nursing home and an organist, a pianist, a choir member of his church and a Stark Parks Trailblazer.
 

Jessica Stroia

A graduate of Hoover High School, Mrs. Stroia received a B.A. and M.A. in Organizational Management from Malone University. She works as an Office Administrator at Victoria E. Schafer, Attorneys at Law. She served as the secretary for the North Canton Charter Review Commission and as a member of the North Canton Zoning Board of Appeals. 

Jordan Greenwald

Jordan Greenwald returned to the Board in January 2016 after having served from 2008-2011. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University.

Jordan is an owner of GDK & Company, a local financial services and benefits firm. He is a member of the North Canton Rotary, the Chairman of the North Canton Civil Service Commission, and a trustee of the North Canton Chamber of Commerce as well as the Stark Development Board. His is also Vice President of the North Canton Student Loan Foundation and a board member of Arts in Stark.

Bruce Hunt

 
Bruce Hunt has served on the Athletic, Business, and Finance subcommittees. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Mount Union and a Master of Arts from Kent State University. Bruce is Director of Sales for Ball Corporation in their Food and Aerosol Division.
 

In addition to serving on the school board, Bruce also serves on the North Canton Parks, and Recreation Board, Newpointe
Community Church Board, TAP North Canton, and is a trustee on family foundation. For many years, Bruce also coached youth
football and lacrosse in the community.

Bruce and his wife Stacy have two children, Brennan and Hallie, who are both Hoover graduates.

Andrea Ziarko

An alumna of Hoover High School, Andrea Ziarko obtained her B.S. in accounting from Indiana University and her J.D. from The Ohio State University Morwitz College of Law in 2001. She is a lawyer at Baker, Dublikar, Beck, Wiley & Mathews in North Canton.

Ms. Ziarko is a member of the Stark County Bar Association and the Community Involvement Committee.  In addition, she is a member of the North Canton Charter Review Commission  and the Board of Trustees for the North Canton YMCA. She is also a sustaining Member of the Junior League of Stark County. She previously served on the North Canton Public Library Board of Trustees.

  • Meetings are scheduled on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Hoover High School's Media Center.
  • Dates and/or times may be changed or added. These will be noted by information releases from the Treasurer's Office
