Liftoff Learning Program

About Liftoff Learning:

The pandemic has left many students with unfinished learning. The goal of the Liftoff Learning Program is to help students reach grade-level expectations as quickly as possible by providing targeted-intensive instruction to small groups of students in Reading and Mathematics. Students are invited to participate in this program by their school principal. After approximately 8 weeks, students participate in progress monitoring activities to determine if the student should continue with the program or exit the program.

Program Hours:

Starting on September 14, 2021:

  • Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Time: 2:10-3:30 PM
  • The program will continue throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
  • The program will not be held on half days.

Pick Up Procedure:

At the end of the program day, staff escort the students to the designated area for pick up.

Transportation of Students:

Transportation is provided at no additional cost under the district policy. (Students living outside of the 1.5 mile requirement.)

Inclement Weather:

The program follows the Northampton Public Schools procedures for closing during inclement weather. If NPS schools are closed, the Liftoff Learning Program is closed. If school is dismissed early due to inclement weather, the program is closed.
